Meet Alana McCoy

Hi, I'm Alana McCoy—and I'm running to be your next Mayor of Duvall.

I've lived here for 40 years with my husband, Matt. We moved here from Kirkland when Duvall was still a small town known for its loggers, nature lovers, artists and farmers—and I fell in love with the community right away. We raised our two daughters here (both married their high school sweethearts), and now I'm a proud grandma of four amazing grandkids who are all active in the community.

I spent 30 years working for the City of Duvall—starting part-time, volunteering as a reserve police officer, and eventually managing public works projects that touched just about every part of town. Roads, parks, sidewalks, community events—you name it, I've helped make it happen. I've also written and managed millions in grants to bring real improvements to our city.

Today, I manage multi-million dollar construction projects in the private sector. I know how to bring people together, keep things on track, and get results. And now, I'm stepping forward to serve again—this time as Mayor.

I'm not in this for the spotlight. I'm in it because I care deeply about this town and the people in it.

Her Priorities as Mayor

Traffic Relief & Improvements

We all feel the impact of growing traffic in and around Duvall—and we all deserve to feel safe on the road. Alana has worked for decades with city, county, and state partners, and knows how to cut through the red tape. Through those relationships and real-world experience, it is time to bring smart, effective traffic solutions that reduce congestion and improve safety. We need to fix dangerous intersections, and address the backups on Main Street, NE 124th, and the Woodinville-Duvall Road. Alana will take action, no excuses.

Fiscal Responsibility

After spending 30 years in city government, Alana knows how to stretch a dollar. Public service means spending your tax dollars wisely—no fluff, no waste. Alana has written and secured millions in grant funding and will lead efforts to bring in creative revenue solutions that reduce the need to increase taxes. It’s about smart budgeting today and protecting future generations tomorrow. She will work hard to make sure every dollar goes where it matters most—and that Duvall gets the resources it deserves.

Parks, Public Spaces & Community Safety

Everyone deserves access to clean, safe, and welcoming spaces—whether you’re walking your dog, taking your kids to the park, or grabbing coffee downtown. That includes investing in accessibility, better lighting, missing sidewalk links, well-maintained trails, and inviting community areas that feel secure for everyone. Alana will champion improvements to our parks and enhance our Main Street corridor so it reflects the heart of Duvall: connected, vibrant, and safe for all.
